It's now nearly 20 years since my first paid work in professional theatre. I have worked as a freelance rigger, lighting technician, lighting designer and production manager since 1994. Realising that my generation are fast becoming the grand old faces in the stage lighting business, I have started to write about and teach stage lighting techniques and practice.
